SUMMARY:Community of Practice Virtual Meeting: Disruptive Innovation a Promising Practices Panel
DESCRIPTION:Join us virtually on March 10\, 2026\, for an inspiring panel moderated by Michelle Marcus during the Georgia Thrives Together’s March Meeting titled: “Disruptive Innovation: Using Good Trouble to Transform Systems for Community Wellbeing.” \nDisruptive innovation for community wellbeing encompasses practices\, systemic changes\, technologies\, or business models which serve unmet social needs\, meet those needs more efficiently and effectively than predominant practices and policies\, and which could be effective at a larger scale although they are initially prevented from scaling up due to regulatory or fiscal limitations. Despite their potential to solve persistent social problems\, disruptive innovations often fail to attract investment because they challenge conventional business models\, beliefs\, power structures\, and organizational practices. The Disruptive Innovation panel will allow attendees to hear from professionals who are exploring new approaches to longstanding problems\, redefining funding strategies\, and developing innovative ways to show and communicate impact. \nPanelists: Odetta MacLeish-White\, AB\, JD\, LLM Business and Fund Development Director of Bay Area Regional Health Inequities Initiative; Tony Price\, DrPH\, MS\, Price Point Consulting LLC; and Belisa Urbina\, Chief Executive Officer\, Ser Familia. \nREGISTER TODAY!
